Outsider

The Outsider is a chilling detective novel by American writer Stephen King, combining a dynamic investigation and a supernatural force that has shed its human form and embarked on a bloody hunt through a small town. Terry is a cool youth baseball coach, an English teacher, a father of two girls, and one of the most well-known residents. A great guy, whose image is strikingly contrasted by a terrifying one – that of a rapist and murderer of an eleven-year-old boy whom Terry once coached.

The DNA test matches, fingerprints at the crime scene belong to Terry, and eyewitnesses unanimously point to this "cool guy." The man is quickly arrested, but there's a problem: he has an ironclad alibi. At the time of the murder, Terry was in another city. Is he lying? Were false testimonies given?
