Private detective Taras Bilyi is hired to investigate the murder of a young lady. A seminarian named Khoma Brut is accused, and the case seems quite clear... "Bilyi Popil" is an incredibly interesting, atmospheric, and at the same time dynamic noir thriller. It is full of mysteries that one eagerly wants to unravel until the very end. And, according to the laws of the genre, the smallest detail will inevitably receive a lightning-fast explanation in due course. But the peculiarity of the novel is that each mystery will ultimately have not one, but two interpretations – a logical and a mystical one.
