On December thirty-first, in the afternoon, Gustav comes to Agatha's grave. He clears away old leaves and places a few pine branches in the vase. Gustav regularly visits his wife's grave and talks to various people. This could be Zlata, who can't bring herself to decide whether she wants to have children. The handsome coach, who dreams of his own school and fears old age. Psychologist Linda, who is so hurt by her shattered dreams of a theatrical career that she notices nothing around her.
