The search for the Philosopher's Stone continues for the Elric brothers, as it is the only way they can restore themselves – one to a part of himself, and the other to his full physical form. A failed alchemical experiment disfigured them, but did not kill them, creating a special bond between the brothers. It seems Edward suffered less, as Alphonse was left without a body, confined to a suit of armor. With the Philosopher's Stone, they can fix everything. And become who they once were again.

They won't be able to, because this experience will stay with them forever, but how can they not try?

While Edward is in Laboratory No. 5 trying to find a trace of the Philosopher's Stone, he encounters a character he wished he would never meet. Will this encounter bring him useful information?

Alphonse, who is on guard, also has a hard time. Someone really doesn't want the Elric brothers to find out what really happened here…
