That girl

April Clarke-Cliveden was the first person Hannah Jones met at Oxford. This vivacious, brilliant, sometimes sharp-tongued, but in every way “that girl” quickly drew Hannah into her dazzling orbit. By their first term, the inseparable roommates were enjoying the company of their close-knit group of friends—Will, Hugh, Ryan, and Emily. And at the end of their second, April was dead.

Now, ten years later, as Hannah and Will await the birth of their first child, the man convicted of April’s murder, former Oxford porter John Neville, dies in prison. At first, Hannah feels relieved: at last, she can leave the past behind. But soon everything changes: a young journalist bursts into her life with new evidence of Neville’s innocence. As she reunites with old friends and delves deeper into the mystery of April’s murder, Hannah realizes that the people she thought she knew so well have something to hide… And one of them is a killer.
